2025 Brings Changes to Mid-York

2025 has just begun and Mid-York is excited for the changes that are on the horizon this season!! First, we are celebrating a birthday. Mid-York is 60 years old!!!! Like a fine wine we are only getting better with age. The circuit shows continued growth with the amazing efforts of our performers, staff and fans. As the marching arts activity evolves over time, so must the circuit so you will see some changes this year.

To start our 60th season off with a little gift, we have launched a new logo for Mid-York. New decade, new look!!! Call it a little face lift!

The first major change you will see is that the Mid-York schedule has changed. We have moved to only one show a weekend. This will make for very exciting competitions, not only for the performers but for the fans as well. Schedules and times are up on the website so check out where you favorite units will be and plan to attend.

With the change to one show a weekend, the shows will have more units in attendance. To help groups with travel and the length of the day, each competition will now have two awards ceremonies. One will happen at the intermission for units competing in the first portion of the show and one will happen at the end for those units competing in the second portion of the show.

To help our units as they develop not only over a single season but long term, the circuit has invested in expanding the pool of adjudicators to include not only our local judges but also to judges who work on a national scale all across the country. This expanded pool will allow our units to receive valuable feedback from many different perspectives which will enhance their opportunities for growth. We look forward to having these new judges experience not only our talented performers but be immersed in the fans who support Mid-York week to week.

It's early to talk about Championships but before you know it, we will be ready to celebrate another wonderful season. We are excited to announce that Mid-York Championship's will be held on Saturday March 29th at Cicero North Syracuse Junior High. Time to be announced soon. Mark your calendars and plan to attend to celebrate an amazing 60th year of Mid-York.

The season kicks off in ONE week with our first show at Central Square. The show starts at 4:00pm with 15 units making their 2025 debut!!!

We look forward to seeing all of you in the gym soon. Thank you for you continued support of the outstanding performers in the Mid-York Colorguard Circuit.
